Just when the Daily Dachshund and Dog News was starting to wonder if the CIA might have destroyed it, this year’s special White House holiday video of Barney, the first dog, and his companion Scottish Terrier, Miss Beazley, is up on the web. Go here to the Barney home page, and look in the right-hand column where it says Barney’s Films: Barney Cam VI: Holiday in the National Parks.

The video was reviewed by our siter site, the Scottish Terrier and Dog News, which found that plot-wise it was somewhat lacking. What’s more, the Scottie News said, neither President Bush nor members of his family and cabinet are going to be winning any Oscars. But the holiday video makes up for its shortcomings with lots of interior scenes of the White House and a special guest appearance by a guy who’s no doubt going to take a lot of flack for his cameo role. We also like the final scene which shows who’s boss. What would the Dog Whisperer say?
