in Whimsical Dachshunds

Take Moxie, for example. This long-haired, pearl-wearing Dachshund got to live in Frank Llloyd Wright’s famous Fallingwater house along with all her brothers and sister. Now, the lucky wiener dog’s story is being told in the beautiful book, The Dachshund of Fallingwater, written and illustrated by Cara Armstrong, curator of education at Fallingwater.

Apparently, Moxie didn’t just get to live in a great house in a dramatic setting, she also got to eat bacon and eggs for breakfast. Guess she kept her girlish figure by patrolling the grounds and rock climbing. Try and spot her in the illustration below.

Apart from being fun, this book is also designed to teach children about architecture.
