Kids hang on the spigot, leaving little kid germs on the metal to be flushed out into the water stream.  Lighten up. It is a thirsty dog. If someone let the dog stand there and pant while people enjoy a drink. Having said that in summer I always have a little bowl in my bag so I&amp;#39;s just fill it from the fountain for my  doglings. What I normally do is take a glass and would fill it so my dachshund would drink out of the glass vs. the fountain.
