Tweeting Doxies

Twitter is quickly becoming one of the most popular social media sites around. While it took me a while to get used to it, I am a regular Twitter user now too (@angierobert). I have chosen to follow friends, colleagues and, of course, topics of interest to me – first and foremost – dachshunds.

If you’re a tweeter, there are a few fun doxie Twitterers not to be missed.
  • @doxienation
  • @doxienews
  • @doxiecrafts
  • @divadaisydoxie
  • @rocky_dachshund
  • @daisythedoxie
  • @princess_lily

There are a ton more, but these are my favorites. If you’re interested, just do a search for the terms “Doxie,” “Dachshund,” “wiener dog,” etc. and a multitude of great options will come up. I was also happy to see that many city-specific dachshund rescue organizations have Twitter accounts.

Happy Tweeting!

The video evidence is pretty conclusive. Unless this squirrel is about to miss an important appointment, he’s definitely looking for trouble.

Chili the wiener dog’s owner says:

This is proof that the neighborhood squirrels like to mess with Chili in the back yard. I do not wish any harm to the squirrels, but Chili has already taken out 2 of them. All fun and games until somebody get hurt…

Doesn’t appear to be the scenic route.

You’ll have to go over to Go Fug Yourself to get the full story on what Mischa Barton of OC fame is up to these days. We’re just relieved to know that those wiener dogs are on loan for the photo shoot and that hey’re not going to be driving home with Mischa. They’re also the best thing about her outfit.

Having just lose a beloved and sheltered laptop way too young, the Daily Doxie feels it is our duty to warn you that laptops are a lot less tough than wiener dogs. Please be careful.
