Peter Alexander, a pajamas designer from down under who’s known for his Dachshund brand mascots, is celebrating 20 years of sleeping around by opening stores in California. If you see wiener dogs on the bags or on the PJs, you’ll know it’s probably the Doxie-loving Australian.

Whether you’re a winter lover or someone who prefers to escape to the beach, Terry Pond has some Dachshund art for you.

You can get your wiener dog art on a print, a mug, a T-shirt and more. Each print comes signed and dated along with a descriptive Certificate of DachshundicityTM.

The Daily Dachshund and Dog News admits that a lot of so-called dog art leaves us cold. These satirical Dachshund paintings by Earl Wettstein are, however, the exception. They’d make a great Christmas present for the Doxie lover in your live although we suspect a fairly expensive one.

Yes, we know, there are still several weeks to go before Christmas but if you don’t want to get stuck buying calendars, now’s the time to place your orders for “Picasso and Lump: A Dachshund’s Odyssey” (Bulfinch Press, $24.95), a 100-page book of photographs taken in 1957 that show Lump as the top dog in the Villa La Californie, Picasso’s hillside mansion in Cannes.
